Stand-up comedian Natasha Edirisooriya was arrested at the BIA.

Stand-up comedian Nathasha Edirisooriya, who had allegedly insulted Buddhism and Christianity during a comedy show held at a leading school in Colombo, was arrested by CID at the Bandaranaike International Airport this morning. Her remarks on religion stirred much controversy in the country. Edirisooriya and the individual who had posted the relevant video online later apologized for her statement.
