President amends Gazette notification on One Country –One Law.

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has amended the gazette notification on One Country –One Law to revise the terms of reference of the Task Force appointed for the purpose.
According to the new gazette notification, the responsibility of the Task Force would be to devise a set of proposals to formulate a conceptual framework ideally suited for Sri Lanka after making a study of the said concept taking into account the views and opinions held by various parties with regard to the implementation of the concept: One Country –One Law.
.The President has added a few more members to the PTF to include Tamil representation also. The new members are, RamalingamChakrawarthy Karunakaran, YogeswariPatgunarajah and Iyyampillai Dayanandaraja”.
The terms of reference have been changed after the Minister of Justice Ali Sabry expressed his reservations over the matter and the Chair of the PTF. Mr Sabry was critical of the terms of reference of the Task Force and wanted to tender his resignation.
