Heavy security at BIA following e-mail

The Bandaranaike International Airport came under heavy security after the Airport authorities received an e.mail regarding an impending attack on the airport.

The mail has said that the attack will be carried out if four persons now in custody are not freed.

The BIA authorities declined to give further details stating that it was a security matter.
