Colombo DC prevents nurses’ strike

The Colombo District Court today issued an enjoining order preventing Government Nursing Officers' Association from carrying out trade union activities causing hardships to the patients. This enjoining order will be effective until February 24. Colombo District Judge Aruna Aluthge made this order after a request made by the Attorney General's Department informing that the prevailing trade union action has caused severe hardships to the patients who arrived at government hospitals. This enjoining order had been issued against Government Nursing Officers' Association and its President SamanRathnapriya.
