40,000 million allocated to pay compensation

Agriculture Minister Mahindananda Aluth Gamage said that the government has already allocated 40,000 million rupees to compensate the paddy farmers for crop failure. These funds will be disbursed among the farmers for Maha season crop failures and damages caused due to the imprudent application of organic fertilizer to the rice paddy plantations.
