Warrant of arrest issued on IUSF activists

Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage today issued warrants for the arrest of Convener of Inter University Students Federation (IUSF) Wasantha Mudalige and Ven. Rathkarawwe Jinarathana Thero in connection with a case filed against them in 2021.   The arrest warrants were issued because they had failed to appear in court when the case was taken up for hearing today.   The Fort police had filed this case against the suspects for allegedly causing a public nuisance during a protest held at Colombo Fort in 2021.
