PUCSL approves less than 5 hour power cuts for tomorrow

The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has today agreed to less than five hours of power shedding for tomorrow. Accordingly the PUCSL has directed the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) to reduce the poweroutages to below 5 hours. The power cuts would be spread over two time slots to minimize the inconvenience caused to the public with three or four hours in the day time and half-an-hour in the night before 10.00 pm A seven hour power cut suggested by the CEB has been turned down by the PUCSL
