The president leaves for Delhi

Marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the President is scheduled to meet Indian President Smt. Droupadi Murmu and hold discussions with PM Narendra Modi and other dignitaries during his visit to enhance bilateral relations and explore mutual interests.

The Presidential Media Division said that during his absence, several ministers have been appointed to oversee ministries under the President. As a result, Pramitha Bandara Tennakoon will be the Minister of Defence, while Shehan Semasinghe will be the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilisation, and National Policy..
