PM Imran Khan arrested after court sentences him to 3-year jail

Pakistani court on Saturday sentenced former Prime Minister Imran Khan to three years in jail in Toshakhana corruption case.

The trial court pronounced the sentence against the ex-premier for illegally selling state gifts.

According to legal experts, this conviction could end Khan’s chances of taking part in national elections that is scheduled to be held before early November, news agency Reuters reported.
