Parliament approves Emergency regulations.

The state of emergency declared by President Gotabaya Rajapakse under the National security Ordinance was approved by Parliament with a majority of 81 votes.

!32 members voted in favour of the Emergency rule while 51 voted against it

The President promulgated the provisions of the National Security Ordinance to regulate the food supplies such as Sugar and paddy and to take legal action against the hoarders.
