Man commits suicide in front of President’s residence in Mirihana demanding an end to the power cuts.

A 54-year-old man has committed suicide opposite President Gotabaya Rajapaksa's house in Mirihana a few hours ago, according to the Police. The man had climbed on to lamp post with a transformer installed on it after calling for an immediate end to the impending power cuts. The electrocuted man was admitted to the Kalubowila hospital and found to be dead on admission.
