The man who assaulted St. Joseph's College ruby coach was arrested.

Pallekele police arrested a man residing in Kandy in connection to an incident where he allegedly assaulted the St. Joseph's College rugby coach, Mohammed Naufar Ibrahim, during the rugby match between St. Joseph's College, Maradana, and Kingswood College, Kandy, at the Pallekele Trinity College Stadium on July 9.

The coach had told the police that the father and elder brother of a player representing the rugby team of Kingswood College, who was upset because of Kingswood College's defeat in the relevant rugby match, had carried out the attack.

Accordingly, the police who conducted investigations have arrested the father of the rugby player, and he will be produced in court.
