BASL offers its attorneys to help with investigations

LETTER to AG re investigating on violence (1)

The Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) has offered to nominate a panel of lawyers to monitor and assist investigations into the incidents which followed the attacks on Galle Face.

  In letters written to the Inspector General of Police and the Attorney General yesterday, the BASL said expeditious and impartial investigations are needed to restore public order and confidence in the law enforcement authorities and to establish the rule of law in the country.
