SSC face Moors SC in Major Club Limited-Overs final

SSC will meet Moors SC in the Major Club Limited-Overs final at the R. Premadasa Stadium today (11), with the day-night match scheduled to begin at 2.30 p.m.

SSC, led by Avishka Fernando, reached the final after a one-run win over CCC under the DLS method in the semi-final. Moors SC defeated Colts CC by 51 runs in the other semi-final.

Fernando has been the tournament’s leading run-scorer, amassing 441 runs in six matches at an average of 73.50. He struck a career-best 160 against CCC in the semi-final.

SSC will also look to Nuwanidu Fernando, Nipun Dhananjaya, Prabath Jayasuriya, Kasun Rajitha and Pramod Madushan for key contributions.

Moors SC, captained by Pasindu Sooriyabandara, have several in-form batters, including Sohan de Livera, Sadeera Samarawickrama and Janishka Perera.

Paceman Shiran Fernando has been their standout bowler, taking 18 wickets in seven matches, while Santhush Gunatilleka has claimed 14.

Both teams enter the final with strong batting line-ups and varied bowling attacks, setting up a closely matched contest under lights.
