There is a possibility of experiencing acid rains in the coastal areas due to the grave environmental hazard caused by the burning vessel Mv X-press Pearl.

This is due to the leak of Nitric acid into the environment and mixing with the water. The reaction releases Nitric Oxide into the atmosphere, which could cause acid rain once it reaches clouds.

Acids rains are possible.
