Cabinet approves long – term contracts for the procurement of fuel

The Cabinet of Ministers approved the resolutions submitted by the Minister of Power for awarding long term contracts for the purchase of fuel to Petro China International (Pvt) Ltd Singapore and Swiss Singapore Overseas Enterprises Pvt. Ltd, Singapore.
The following decisions taken by the Special Standing Procurement Committee appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers in relation to the procurement of fuel as mentioned within eight months from 01st June 2021 to 31st January 2022,have been approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
• Awarding the long – term contract of the import of 2,700,000+10/-5% barrels of Petrol (92 Unl) to Swiss Singapore Overseas Enterprises Pvt. Ltd, Singapore.
• Awarding the long – term contract of the import of 1,120,000+10/-5% barrels of Diesel (maximum percentage of Sulphur 0.05) to be unloaded by Muthurajawela SPM to Petro China International Pvt. Ltd, Singapore.
• Awarding the long – term contract of the import of 1,341,000+10/-5% barrels of Petrol (92 Unl) and 459,000+10/-5% barrels of Petrol (95 Unl) to Petro China International Pvt. Ltd, Singapore.
• Awarding the long – term contract of the import of 1,120,000+10/-5% barrels of Diesel (maximum percentage of Sulphur 0.05) to be unloaded across Colombo Dolphin Tanker Birth (DTB) and Muthurajawela SPM to Petro China International Pvt. Ltd, Singapore.
