Warrant against Hirunika recalled

The Colombo High Court recalled the warrant of arrest against former Parliamentarian Hirunika Premachandrafew hours after it was issued not appearing in Court. This is in connection with the alleged abduction case filed against her by Attorney General. However, she surrendered in Court through a lawyer soon after the warrant was issued and made a request to recall the warrant issued against her. Defence counsel informed Court that her client was unable to present in Court on time since she was with her two-month-old baby inside the vehicle parked adjacent to the court complex. She was advised to be present in Court on the due dateby High Court Judge Amal Ranaraja.
