Reigning Mrs World and model released on personal bail

Mrs World Caroline Jurie & model Chula Padmendra were released on personal bail of Rs. 100,000/- each by Colombo Chief Magistrate today. Both Mrs Jurie and Chula Padmendra appeared before the Magistrate in connection with the brawl that ensued the Mrs Sri Lanka pageant on April 8, at the Nelum Pokuna Theatre. Earlier, Mrs World Caroline Jurie and Model Chula Padmendra arrested by the Cinnamon Garden Police on charges of causing simple hurt, criminal force and damaging the property belonging to the theatre. Subsequently, they were released o police bail and directed to appear in Court on Monday (19).
