Geetha appeals on behalf of Ranjan

MP Geetha Kumarasinghe has appealed to the President to grant a presidential pardon to former MP Ranjan Ramanayake who is imprisoned for contempt of court. Mr Ramanayake sentenced to four years of rigorous imprisonment by the Supreme Court for contempt is currently held in the Agunukolapalessa facility. Meanwhile, Prison authorities have announced a two-week moratorium for visitors to prisons throughout the country. No visitor will be allowed to prisons during this period as a measure towards stopping the spread of Covid 19
