A Degree similar to NDC to be awarded by National Defence Academy

  The government is planning to award degrees similar to NDC (National Defence College) at the Sri Lanka National Defence Academy for senior armed forces officials who complete an eleven-month course at the institute. Those undergoing training will be eligible for postgraduate qualifications under this programme. To make this objective a reality the President had proposed that a new Parliamentary Act be introduced to incorporate the National Defence Academy under the Kotalawala Defence University. The academic activities of this institution are scheduled to be inaugurated in May 2021.
